Water collects inside rear hatchdoor -2003 350Z
Very clean Z, with only 30k at 10 years, previous owner always garaged, no accidents. Water collects, ? inside, rear hatch doors during rain. Pours out very efficiently when hood is raised from both sides near the hinges.- up to 1/4 - 1/2 a cup each side. Cannot see any obvious hole or cracks. Is this a feature? Is my door rotting away from the inside? Please advise. It rains a lot down here in New Zealand
I don't quite know. It must be inside the door, given the volumes. Rainy day, then 2 sunny days - then open hatch - water from both sides of hatch drains out near the hinges - have read since that a gasket for the windshield wash fluid hose can come loose. It's going to require removing the hatch to find out what's up.

It's normal on the Z when you do that. It's just where the water sits at whenever the rain falls onto the Z. If you were to let it sit for a day without opening it and then drive halfway down the road or so, it will come out as well
