My ash tray was broken when I bought my Z. All the other Zs I looked at had broken ash trays too. Have any of you made use of that spot other than coins or ash?

I'd like to remove the coin holder/ash tray and make use of it in another way. I don't smoke and neither will anybody else in my car. I also don't need to carry that much change around either especially since it's broken in a way that leaves it opens and the coins fall out sometimes.

Actually I do like that position as a coin holder, but it can provide other useful functions:

1. Placement for aftermarket seat heater switches (or any switch for that matter)
2. Power plug-in (the rotating cover is a useful feature)
3. Adjusting **** for things such as SubW volume
4. A power source selector (when you have multiple batteries), etc.
5. USB plug-in point for recharging and playing devices.

…Just to name a few options.
