Default Changing out automatic shift ****

About to order the OBX Tomcat shift ****, looks pretty sweet. (CF/BLK) wondering if any of you have one or if it would even fit, the description on the item says it should fit most cars but doesn't give an exact list. It being Japan made I figured it should, but have no idea on deciding to pull the trigger on it or if would even fit.
...And I know, I know, why an automatic? So please save the trolling.

Thanks for the link, and I've seen that one along with other about the same process. Thing is I know how to take apart the OEM shift **** and everything else, it's just the fact of the shift **** I'm getting. Don't know how to instal it after everything's off. And I haven't seen this type of shifter on a z ever and I don't know why, it's awesome.

I just looked up the install on a probe. It looks like it should be like any other automatic shift ****. I would probably buy it from somewhere reputable that allows refunds incase it doesn't fit.
Just google it if you can't find the info here.

Let us know how it goes. I would like to know. Thinking about doing this or the boot mod, not sure yet.

So the obx tomcat shift **** will not fit our z cars. Received it yesterday and tried to get it to work as best as I could. Returning it for my money back tmmrw, don't think I'm going to get any other shift ***** nor do the boot rig I don't like it very much. But thanks to all, for all the info and those that wanted an update. Looks like I'm keeping the oem shift ****.
