Default Has anyone reupholstered Armrest in 04 Z

I am in the process of doing my interior over, I received these as gift

http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/350z07w/50-2111

I have an 04 so it is only the arm rest portion.

I am looking for advice on reupholstering these.

I've never used this particular kit, but I just completed a similar install in my wife's Mini R56 (redline goods leather). You will need a good razor or exacto-knife, 3M90 spray adhesive + paper plate + Brush, scissors, and preferably two sets of hands.

Prestretch the leather to remove any wrinkles from shipping that may remain.

There are a bunch of guides to take apart the door panel / window switch panel. Use one to get access to the pieces you want to cover. Then test fit the leather and trim down size to a minimal overlap. I had somewhere between a quarter and a half of an inch.

Once you are ready to install and the leather has been trimmed to fit, I sprayed the 3M glue on a plate. I used the brush to pickup the thick glue and paint both the leather and the part I am covering. Wait about two minutes for both sides to become tacky, then place together.

*** Your placement must be perfect, or you will get glue bubbles underneath the leather (that you will notice) *** So make sure you are ready to place it perfectly and utilize that second pair of hands.

Once bonded and in place, it should be good to go. Enjoy the upgrade. I wrapped five pieces in leather, and it took nearly 4 hours to complete the job. The transformation was worth it though.
