this might sound stupid, but i can't get it to work.
i tried the method of just plugging the resistors into the plugs and then doing the reset procedure, but the light continues to blink.
My first question - does it have to stay in diagnostic mode for any particular amount of time?
Second question - is one 2.2 ohm plugged into the old plugs enough?
I would rather not cut and splice, but will as a last resort.
Any help is appreciated.

2.2ohm.. hm. might be on the high side-- you could do the 5 resistor in parallel trick and solder all the ends together and plug it into the clip. should work- too. just tape it in place so it doesnt come out.

i have all the parts now, there are 3 leads (wires) from the passenger side connector. I think its a air bag disable for the passenger below minimum weight.
where do i connect the 2 ohm resistor? which ones on the 3 leads (wires)?. I have not connected yet b/c i want to make sure where to connect it.
update: i called www.airbagonoff.com (bob brown) i was told that he has not made any resistor bypass air bag kit that will include weight sensors for 06-07 Z's.
im really stuck now!

UPDATE:
Just wanted to let anyone know that read this thread that I went and bought 2 packs of the resistors Chebosto recommended, and got a solerding kit.
I soldered all the resistors from on pack (turning 5 into 1) and did that twice, plugged it in, did the reset procedure, and now no more blinking light.
My problem was the resistors, so make sure you have the ones that he recommended and you can plug them in, you don't have to solder the resistors into the wires, but that might be a more secure option.
For those of you that have never soldered before it really isn't hard. This was my first time and I didn't have any problems.
Thanks again Chebosto!

new car, new problems haha.
I did everything exactly like I did before, went and got the exact resistors, soldered them together - plugged them in, didn't work. Did the tap splice, they still won't work.
I didn't think it would make adifference, but I used 14gauge wire because thats what I had. That is the only thing different, do you think that would make it not work?

I guess the radio shack here is just lame, they didn't have a multimeter. Any other suggestions on where to find one?
Visually everything checks out. Its all tight, all connections look good. I can't figure it out.
I am overdue on inspection and can't get a passing inspection until I get that fixed. I wouldn't even know where to begin to take it to have someone look at it. Any suggestions on that?

i dont have a z but i was reading on the g forum to get my airbag light off.
what i did was buy a variety pack at radioshack. think it was 12 bucks or something. it has to have a 2.2ohm (comes with 5 in my pack). it has 2 red strips and 2 gold ones. all i did was bend the ends and plug it in. didnt have to reset anything. no more blinking light.

Would anyone know how to bypass the airbag light on the driver's seat off of the 2007 350z? I tried the nismo airbg harness at the dealer but the item didnt plug into? I understand there is a weight sensor as well.
thanks
thanks

2004.5 didn't have the weight sensors in the seat. i thought that was only 05.5 or 06+. white323nismo : you're gonna have to remove the weight sensor in your seat and roll it up to put pressure on it to fake the car thinkin they're always someone in the seat -
multimeter or ohm meter, i think you can find at electric stores, maybe even home depot.
if you happened to turn the car on before you put in the resistors. you'll have to run the SRS reset procedure. try it twice. i couldnt get the timing right the first couple of times, but it ends up working.. when you get into the diagnostics mode, read off the #s to see if its really that airbag you're trying to disable. (it should blink a certain number of times)..

Hmm ok, I'll give that another try. The attachment above doesn't have that diagnostic information, like how to read which airbag is malfunctioning. Do you have a link to where I can find that?
