Get to trunk light circuit without removing bumper?
What I'd like to be able to do is turn my trunk lights on with a toggle switch from my dash, but I don't want to lose the on/off when the trunk opens/closes functionality.
I drew this up as what I plan to do with the wiring.

For that to work, I have to remove the stock switch and replace it with a 3 way momentary.
1. Is that schematic even correct/functional? I haven't worked with circuits like that in years.
(Yes I know the symbols are wrong, they're for personal use haha)
2. Can I get to the stock switch without taking off the rear bumper?

Just pull the light itself out of the trunk wall and cut the positive wire and run wires from each half to your switch and then provide the other side of the switch with 12v power... No need to mess with the trunk switch.... Its in the latch anyway
