Yeah Touring has factory HID. Are H7 for the highbeams? Maybe the previous owner put HID's on the highbeam as well. The 03-05 Z's with factory HID still have halogen for the highbeam.

Take the headlamp out, on the bottom of the headlamp there should be a black HID ballast that says "Matsushita", that is a factory HID ballast. It should be plugged into the wiring harness on the headlamp. Wiring goes inside the headlamp to the HID bulb. So the wiring to the low beam bulb should be coming from inside the headlamp housing.

If you can take a couple pics for us that would really help.

thanks man ill take some pictures tomorrow but im pretty sure there is a black ballast attached to some silver metal looking wires only problem is the ballast itself isnt attached to the low beams because im using a aftermarket ballast and i know they are h7's im not sure about the high beams though but the lows are definitely h7's

I suspect you have a set of Base model headlights. The Base uses H-7 for the low beams and H-1 for the high beams. The models equipped with HID's use H-7 for the high beam and D2R for the low beam. You say your low beam is H-7 and I doubt that a socket for the D2R would allow an H-7 to seat properly. Double check your lights and see if you have H-1 high beams. If so, I am certain you have the Base model headlight housings.
