Default Reasonable body shop estimate to clear coat a hood?

I have a basically new seibon hood that I'm looking to have lightly sanded and then clear coated for UV protection. The condition is nearly perfect so I wouldn't take much effort to get it smooth enough to apply the clear. The body shop that I spoke to said it would be $200-300 depending on the condition of the hood.

Does this sound reasonable? Can anyone who has had similar work performed or anyone who works at a body shop comment on this?

Thanks in advance

I cleared my own CF hood. wet-Sanded 400(probably can go higher here, but I was lazy), cleared(spray bomb) wet-sanded 1000grit. carpro 2000grit denim polishing pad with meguiars ultimate polish. Klasse All-In-One glaze. Probably looks just as shiny as when it was made.

I don't know what they go for but I would take a guess that $200 seems reasonable.

I am a painter in a high-end body shop, and I can tell you that the quote you were given is very reasonable...
