Question Seeking the BEST body shop in L.A. / O.C. area ...

My rear bumper was scraped in a parking lot by another car while parked. The scratches are only through the paint - the underlying plastic isn't dented or damaged. However, I want the scrapes be repaired in the best possible way so it looks factory new. Who is the best to do the job right?
The car is REDLINE color, if that matters.
I want to make sure everything is done right - clear coat and everything. Does the whole bumper need to come off, and will the whole thing need to be repainted?
Thanks for any help,
MIka

I vote for P.J. Bonifacio, although from the damage you're describing, it seems like overkill for strictly cosmetic damage.

Thanks, guys.
Has anyone had work done by either 20/20 or PJ Bonifacio? Are these two both highly regarded shops? I know absolutely nothing about either, so I'm hoping someone can give me some feedback about their work.
Thanks!

Your posts is probably better suited for the reigonal forums. I have a 3 foot car key on my fender and I had to get the entire portion repainted which ran me like 300$. I imagine yours to be the same. When it comes to fixing light cosmetic damages I disagree having to go to the best and most expensive bodyshop to make it look perfect. Any half decent shop could do the same job and not charge you a arm and a leg, if your not happy with the fix you can always have them redo it. But to each his own.

If you want the absolute best bodyshop, 20/20 has made a reputation of the best out there. It services many exotic sports car and I think one of the owner there owns a Skyline. Pricey yes, but their job is impeccable.

If you looking for a good body shop in Orange County goto www.wetworksgarage.com

They are the best and wont charge you an arm and a leg. I have a redline car and they paited my body kit and fixed some minor damage. Joe the owner does an outstanding job.

20/20 autobody is known more for high end exotic paint jobs. P.J. is more full car painting and body kits. They are both good shops but they generaly charge more for minor work.

I goto wet works garage myself and Im always be treted fairly and have gotten quality paint work. Just tell them that Paul refered you and theyll treat you right.

When I had my civic, I went to a place called Body Pros in Garden Grove and I also heard that a place called M.O.B. Works in the OC is pretty dope. Where is 20/20 located and does anyone have thier phone number?

Hmmm.... well, I hope they don't take forever on my car. Wishing to get get rid of the unsightly damage sooner rather than later, I decided to take my car in to 2020. They promised to have my car done by Thursday this week. I hope they do good work, 'cause they sure are pricey. They're also way the hell out there (from Long Beach, anyway), so I'd hate to be dissatisfied and forced to take it back for any reason.

$350 for the rear bumper. A lot, I know. However, I'm not paying for it. Since I plan to keep the car as long as possible, I want the repair to be done in the best way possible with the best materials. I just figured that with a reputation for work on exotic cars and such, 2020 must be doing something right.
My wife owns an '86 300E with fenders that were clearly repainted at some point. All but one of the fenders have severely crackled paint. I would hate for this to happen on my Z.
