So I bought a 350z the guy had the door apart and lost the rod that pops So open. So I bought a new one and now the lock button is getting stuck half and causing my door to be stuck shut and it only started this problem when i installed the rod. So my question is do you think it's the door actuator or is that rod getting loose and causing it to jam?

 

I haven't worked on a Z door handle yet but if it's anything like the others I've worked on you need to look at how you installed the rod. Take it apart and look how the system works, move the clip it connects to up and down to find the middle. If you have the rod to high/low it won't allow the door to open etc.

 

see when the rods not in the interior handle works no problem. when i put the rod in it will work for a little then it stops working inside and out and the lock only stops half way

 

i know someone had to have the same problem before

nope even bought a new door and same thing happen
