Default Hood problem!

I need some help, or more like guidance on what to do, or how to close my hood all the way.

a few months ago, i got into a wreck and i smashed the front right part of my car.
i had to replace the whole right front end. so i bought a fiberglass hood, and now it doesn't latch. when i try to force it down, i can hear the hood start to crack, so i don't want to force it anymore than that.

i've been thinking i can put washers where the hood ledge is bolted on, to raise the rear a little, and lower the front.

any suggestions on what i can do to fix it?

I had the same problem with my CF hood. I re-adjusted the hood latch a little higher and it fixed the problem.

I can see from your picture that corner of the fenders closest to your windshield are sitting higher than your hood so I would say your problem may be there. Where is the cracking sound coming from? If it's coming from the center of the hood it may be hitting the strut bar. I actually have some brand new hood hinges if you need them since you're local.

Unrelated, do you have any spacers on your wheels?

so i think, im just gonna but some washers to raise the rear end of the hood.

i'm not sure where the cracking noise is coming from, i'll go look and post once i find out.

as for my wheel spacers, i'm not running any atm, but i did get new wheels, which are a little wider. but i think i am gonna get spacers soon.
BUT I NEED MORE LOW AS WELL!

another thing, the hood hinges might be bent from when the old hood flipped up and smacked my roof when i was driving back from the body shop. (probably should've mentioned that)

Same thing happened to me when I had my hood open for a car show on a windy day, hence the new hinges I have laying around. Fortunately I adjusted my hood enough so I didn't need to use them.

fixed my hood problem.
stuck two washers behind the hood latch, and it allowed the hood to close all the way.

very tricky how it works.
thanks for the hinges though ADVAN, had no problem installing them.
