Default Help with Unknown Taillight Plug

Hey guys! So I recently bought some 06+ taillights off a member on here and he won't message me back concerning my problem. But, maybe this is a common thing and others know a quick solution.

So, usually the plug/connector on the inside of the taillights is single grey plug. As shown below in this random internet pic:

However, while the left taillight i got shipped to me was indeed exactly like that, the right taillight i received i took this pic of:

Any ideas? I'm not real good with wiring, but I have a friend who could possibly help me.

If you have the old lights you can just cut off the plug and splice that onto the light, the colors might be the same too.

to me it looks like the just cut the plug off and used cheesy splice connectors, but they appear to be the factory wires... if he didnt disclose that in the ad selling them i would let a mod know

That's what I figured. I dont have the old lights, but should taking off the male end grey plug on the car and just inserting the wires separately into the blue plugs work?
