Default After md plenum spacer everything vibrates!

I just installed my MD 5/16 plenum spacer and after the install the engine is much louder causing everything inside the cabin to vibrate and buzz.
I'm not sure if you guys had this problem but any idea what parts in the cabin vibrate the most and how I can put an end to it, its driving me nuts! Its pissing me off so much I'm debating on uninstalling the spacer.
I already found that the sunglass holder door was vibrating and the sun visors I wedged a piece of paper between those two and silenced that buzzing but
any other main spots you can think of?! Thanks!

At first I didn't remove the guide pins so there was a small leak, removed them and torqued gradually up to 100 inch pounds and in the correct sequence gaskets were replaced as well the buzzing is beyond annoying!!!!!

Mikeman,

I bet your vibration is coming from the FSTB since it is making contact with the engine/plenum after the spacer install. You need to adjust the strut brace to not make contact. Either adjust the brace itself or add more spacers at the end.

Or, just take off the tower brace. I bet the vibration goes away then

take the advice and remove the FTSB or just don't bother posting for help in threads. It will take you two seconds to do and then you can come back and tell him, nope didnt work but thanks for the suggestion.

Car misfiring or idling rough?

I'm assuming you already tried removing the strut bar.

I had the same issue when I installed my plenum spacer. Everything was shaking/vibrating after I cranked her up. Visually, it looked like there was sufficient clearance, but I took off the brace and everything was fine. The engine was vibrating the strut bar which was vibrating the struts, which was vibrating the wheels, which was vibrating the steering wheel, which was vibrating the dash and interior pieces. I installed some more washers and adjusted the bar.

Let me know if you already tried removing the brace and I can try and help you troubleshoot the problem.

sorry about that heel til I die, I just assumed by installing the washers the clearance would suffice. Looks completely clear but what size washers do you suggest for me to add? same size and double up the ones MD gave me? sorry again if I came off rude I am just frustrated :/

It's all good, man. No offense taken.

Sorry - I don't remember the exact size of the washers that I got. I think I took one of them to the depot and found some that matched up. They had a pretty wide assortment. I got some stainless ones. Don't put too many on there, otherwise the bolts won't be long enough to catch the thread.

If you don't want to double up on the washers, you may be able to find some thicker washers at some other hardware stores. Do you have the stock tower brace or aftermarket? I have an aftermarket one that needed a slight adjustment, but I believe you need to adjust the stock brace even with the washers. Someone else may be able to chime in here.

If the buzzing is getting to you and you're tired of wedging pieces of paper everywhere, you can drive with the brace off. It's not going to hurt anything.

(I saw my last post got edited. I guess the mod didn't get my joke... haha )

I was just thinking about getting the same washers and doubling up do you think that would be too much? Are you saying if the washers do not work I can just take my strut bar off and the car will be okay ?

take it off and then find out.... i would do that before spacing it up, and make sure you don't go too high and ding the hood from the underside

You can drive it with the bar off. Your wheels won't fall off

Some people actually prefer the way it handles without the strut bar.

But yes - first I would take the bar off to see if that eliminates the buzzing prior to putting on more washers.
