Default Z trim plate removal from rear strut brace

I need to remove the trim plate on the rear strut bar. You know the aluminum color one with the Z logo ion it.

I was able to pop the plastic pieces on either side of it, but it remains firmly wedged in. Has anyone removed it before, and can they post how to do it?

I am not sure if the other panels just snap off or if there are screws somewhere.

Someone help me get this sumbich off so I can get it painted. Thanks!

You have to remove the piece under the bar I think. You may have to remove the side pieces to remove that. You may have to remove the other pieces in the trunk to remove those. Otherwise, just pull like He-Man when you get to that point. The piece underneath has bolts.

Nevermind! Thanks anyway. I figured it out.

They actually are all clip on parts. Just a little bit of pulling and they all came off.

I was always wondering what it looked like underneath!

Here. For the terminally curious.

I wish some how Nissan would have included this piece in the Roadster's trunk--facing out since the strut bar is covered anyway.

PS, how was that done? Proffessionally or DIY?

If DIY, did you use a gun or did you use automotive touch ups in cans and then wet sand?

I have a buddy who owns a paint shop and he let me prep it and he primed and painted it when he painted some of my parts.
