I'm looking to buy a 2008 Nismo 350z. The "nismo" badge in the rear is on the driver's side of the vehicle and the "350z" is on the passenger side. Every picture I see online it's the opposite, with the nismo badge on the passenger and the 350z badge on the driver's side.

Repaint, owner preference, fake, etc. How can we tell without seeing the car, or asking the owner?

 

Pics. That is wrong. Your correct the badges should be nismo passenger and 350z driver side. Make sure its legit. The niz should have a serial number plate in the center console near shifter. Check for the Yamaha damper near the spare tire and in the front bumper area. Should also have red springs with silver shocks stamped yamaha. Obviously the niz body kit black and red seats red stitch steering wheel red stitch door panel inserts. Floor mats with niz emblem. Nizmo exhaust tips say nismo. Nismo wheels made by rays forged 18 inch front 19 rear. If its got all this my guess it was in an accident or bumper was repaired and they mis put the emblems.

 

He had aftermarket rims on which he sold.
It does seem legit, but aftermarket parts are easy to get now-a-days..

those are not nismo wheels, he prob sold them. those are the cheap 03-05 wheels. also to me the front bumper doesn't look right, am i wrong or does it look like the normal 06-08 bumper??

 

Yeah he had these other black rims on before he threw these on. He probably got rid of the nismo rims awhile back. What do you have to say about the emblem?

thats better, the last pic made it look like it had a regular bumper on it. what is he wanting for it, miles, how many owners, any wrecks

 

15k... 50k miles. 3 owners including him, no wrecks as far as the autocheck report says. I deem it reasonable as it doesn't have the stock Nismo rims.. Also, is it true the odometer should be white-faced as it's a Nismo?

 

The tachometer should have a gray face, lighter than the other gauges, but not white. I'd want to get the car up on a lift and take a very good look at the underside. Just seems a bit fishy, with 3 owners, and the emblems being off. Never hurts to be extra careful.

 

I'm going to have Sullivan tire throw it up on a lift and check it out. He said the previous owner swapped them cuz he preferred it that way
