Where to tap for DRL in engine bay
I'm in the process of doing some headlight mods. I'd like to run some of the lights as DRL's so I was wondering where the easiest place is to tap for a +12 source that's powered when the car is on. Ideally someplace fairly close to the headlights so I don't have to run too much wire. It'd be great if there's a spot on each side, but I can always run wire across to the opposite headlight as well.
I'd just be running some LED halo's and LED ironman side panels off of it so the current draw shouldn't be an issue.
Thanks!

Second hidden fuse box in the where the battery is
I tapped one of the fuses, I think it was windshield or something.
Use a voltometer to check voltage when the car is off if it does not give off a 12v then it will when ignition is on
I used this way to power my halos and LED's

I think I read somewhere that the windshield sprayer pumps are powered when the car is on and are ground triggered by the switch in the column? That would be a very convenient place to tap into if hat's true.
Actually if anyone knows which circuits are powered temporarily even after the car is off (like the windows) that'd be even better. It'd be nifty if the DRLs stayed on for a bit.
I tapped my halos/fog lights into my marker lights when I put my new headlight housings in. They aren't bright enough to be seen during the day so I just want them on with the marker lights. Then the relay gets power only when the marker lights are on and I have a switch on the ground side to power the fog lights so none of them can get left on and if they do they will shut off after the headlights time out instead of killing my battery.
The headlight circuit is the only one I know of. If you leave your lights on they will time out after 3-5 minutes.

Here they are on Staisman's car:
You might hook it to the DRL wire in the headlight harness. I've never tested that plug but I know it runs the turn signal bulb when the car is on.When you turn the turn signal off it should cut power so it could be like the newer cars that kill the DRL when you turn on the signal to make the turn signal more distinct.
