2006 Z having trouble installing jdm tails. It seems the male plug from the tail lights and the female plug on the vehicle do not match up. As you can see from the pictures the patterns on these plugs match perfectly when looking at them side by side, but when putting the plugs together, this pattern reverses and they do not match up. Has anyone ever dealt with this before?

 

yes i had the same problem
i just trimmed it until it fit (very snugly) in to the housing. it won't fall out

Yeah I had to dremmel mine down to fit
