Honestly its a Celica wing. I used to own a Celica and thats the wing that came with the car.

That 350z may be from japan and it does an ings n spec body kit . The wing is from a Toyota Celica, I put money on it.

I know the 350z aftermarket better then most people. I run a own resource site www.350zonline.com .

I also heavy in the import scene. Ive seen it done.

No one maufactures this wing becase its made by Toyota. Thats why you guys are stumped on the manufacter.

If someone wants to have a bodyshop make a wing it will be a waste of time and money.

You can pay alot of money to have a group buy or you buy it for like 100 buck from a celica owner or a OEM knock off site.

ok, i spoke to my body shop today, and also told them to look at the thread i posted here...

it took me a while to twist the shop owner's arm, but he finally explained to me why custom making the wing is only going to cost a few hundred bucks (which, as ares mentioned above, is pretty cheap)

the answer? his shop already has a mold built to make a replica of the mazdaspeed rx8 rear wing ... if i wanted one for my Z to the one in the pic, he would then need to print a pair of legs for me to go along with it, which is much less expensive than the wing itself since he already has some templates available for wing-legs

his price for a single, custom made wing is 800 cdn.. his offer to knock this down to about 400-500 (or less depending on the number of orders) still stands.

here's a pic of the mazdaspeed rx8 wing he currently has a mold for:

Right now, i'm not sure whether the wing in the pic from japan is a celica wing or not, and i'm not sure i want to buy one to test out esp. if it's not going to give me the look i want (the pic from the red car just doesn't look the same to me IMO)

I'm going to stick to my original plan to get the shop to print this for me... with the group-buy discount, i think i'd be pretty happy getting a wing that looks exactly the way i want it to for a pretty reasonable price (300 USD or less depending on the number of orders)... so if people are interested, please post here and let me know! (people who said they are interested please PM me AGAIN to confirm - in case you changed your mind and want to try and get a celica wing instead)

btw, the mazdaspeed wing looks like a MUCH closer match, even without tweaking the mold, which the shop said they'd do... (to confirm though, if someone wants to order the mazdaspeed and put it on their Z, please post pics )

Your PM box is full. I'm interested as I think the Mazda Speed wing looks great. I wish someone could do that shape in Carbon Fiber for less than $1000. Please keep me posted, my email address is jdegracia1@nc.rr.com.

Thanks!

Jeffrey

Keep me updated... My only concern(s) are "Fit & Finish" and "Dimension Matching".

Why are the plates blurred out? Is someone planning to go to Japan and jack this guy....

Also, what website did you locate this on? That may hold some answers too. I must admit, the Ceica wing looks pretty similar, I'd have to see more pics.

Hi Jhau... Nice to see a fellow Torontonian

Here are my favourite tuner shops:
BC-autodesign (TONS of replica stuff available)
Kennedy HiFi (Great owner, he drives a c-west Z)
Pacific Art Auto (The shop I'm working with for this)
JDM Motorsports (Smaller shop, mail orders from japan but gives awesome prices)
Eurosports (Out of Calgary - the owner, surfs on nissan350z.ca under the alias "bigh" - great prices for just about anything)

My favourite install shops are:
Car Magic
Pacific Art Auto (subcontacts)
BC-autodesign (also subcontracts - don't know to who though but they did good work on my wing on my previous car)

Hope this helps...

I'm not sure why the plates are blurred out... but the pic didn't come from a shop, it came from a user on 350zfrenzy.com (all these pics are from the gallery there)... which would explain it :P

Hey everyone, FYI on the current status of the custom wing:

I made the order last thursday to start modification of the mold. I also called the shop this morning to get a status update; If all goes well, a prototype should be ready for us by early next week!

Post up pics BEFORE it gets painted and holding/positioning it up against the car (if at all possible).

We anxiously await..........

I'm interested in the spoiler as well. Keep me posted with the information. From what I've seen, the Celica spoiler doesn't look like that.
