Default Widening arches? Narrower wheels?

Hi all,

I'm stuck in an irritating situation. I have wheels with a style I like courtesy of the previous owner, I think they work well. However they are about as big as you can get, 10 inch front, 11.5 inch rear.

Running 265 front tyres, 285 rear, and they are barely big enough. They also just scrape a tiny bit when hitting a dip fast while cornering.

I'm caught between getting a body shop to custom widen the arches to possibly fit bigger tyres, or fit narrower wheels. Both options will cost a pretty penny.

I see a lot of widebody kits and bolt ons, but has anyone custom widened their stock arches that could give some ideas? These have had 15mm added already by the previous owner, but he ran pinched tyres for the stance type look.
I'm thinking that it might look weird having big huge smooth stock looking arches.

Yes they are rolled and extended 15mm all round. Camber is in the stock range atm. Can't quite remember off tge top of my head.

im stuck between spending on bodywork and then wide *** tyres to suit (295-305, dunno), or having to drop 4k on the same wheels, but an inch smaller, which seems crazy.

certainly new wheels and tires over bodywork + used wheels you did not choose + new tires

if those are the only 2 choices you want to do

If you go with new wheels you can get some money back selling your current ones.
They are work emotions, I assume... not so cheap if I am not mistaking...
Bodywork - is one way road: no wide body without cutting rear fenders.

Yeah, I'm still really stuck on making up my mind eh. They are Work XSA04C, 19X11.5 is the biggest they offer there. They look great and aren't too heavy for the size.

Is there anyone who knows of any pics of custom wide arches? I keep finding lots of wide body kit pics, rocket bunny stuff etc, but noone doing an oem looking wide body.
It seems a bit redundant to size down by an inch, while getting rid of some neat rims.
