Default Lower seats

So I'm in the market for a 350z and (unfortunately in this case) I'm 6'4" with long legs. I recently test drove a 2007 and I really liked the car but I'm wondering if anybody has had luck attaining more legroom/headroom. I've read through a bunch of threads and the general consensus seems to be that a fixed bucket is the way to go, but I'd like to avoid that as I don't really plan to track the car.

I was thinking about going with a 330mm aftermarket wheel with a quick release or longer hub to move the wheel closer and away from my knees. I'm also wondering if an aftermarket reclining seat without sliders might help (sparco chrono, r100, corbeau a4, etc).

I guess my other option would be a g35 but I prefer the 350z styling both interior and exterior.

Thanks in advance.

I know my fixed back seats add a ton of extra room, I bet a few adjustable seats if a thinner design will do the same

http://corbeau.com/reclining-seats/s...evolution.html May work really well

Did you own a 350Z in 2004?

I never did buy one. I've had a 240sx, 2 WRXs, and an FR-S, but never a Z. I've liked the car since launch though.

the factory driver seat rails can be modified to sit much lower, its fantastic, any competent fabricator can do it for you, but it will not be cheap, I think its a must do for guys around 6 4

I've got Bride seats and got their "hyper-low" rails too; puts you down below stock height; I'm 6'3" and plenty of head/leg room. Whatever seats you may get, maybe they offer the extra low rails, good luck with it.

I've made custom brackets for seats for $20 in metal. Square tubing mounted right to aftermarket seat rails bolted straight through the floor with big azz washers underneath. Very very sturdy actually

I've done this in a Wrangler and a Sephia.

What I'm saying is it can be done for cheaply/safe

I wouldn't modify the wheel. You're going to want to keep the airbag.

Much appreciated for all the feedback. My only issue with the wheel is that it feels really far away. I wish somebody offered a wheel like ATC makes for the frs.

when the seat sits lower, you can then sit more upright, and you will be much closer to the wheel.

Still far away for airbag reasons, I'm running a 90mm offset wheel in my car, a bit much for street use, great for track.
