Default Changing OEM leather power seats into manual?

I have been looking at other ways to fix the ongoing switch - motor problem in most Zs. I was wondering if anybody ever tried just installing the OEM seats to a bracket and putting sliders on them?

if this was possible, the airbag light, seat warmers and everything else should still be able to work and we wont have to change switches every few years/worry about it

Alright a little more background into this.

Im canadian, from Toronto and with the horrible weather/snow I never really got to ever own a 350z . I was also 22 and in nursinfg school so it wasnt the best idea at the time. Forward a year later (now) and I found my way to texas on a NAFTA contract and was eager to get my hands on a Z (finally!)

First month in, i bought a 07 Yaris sedan with 40k miles total from an old guy I met in church. He used it for 10 years driving back and forth as a daily in town. It was a clear coat nightmare (sun damage) but mechanically it was amazing. Having zero US established credit, I bought it cash for 4.5k$.

Before 1
Before2
Angel eyes aftermarket HID headlights.
Vinyl colorshift wrap the whole car.
plasti dip a few things, old rubber changes, tinted.

All new LED interior/exterior bulbs (plates, trunk etc)
double din andorid HUD + amps etc, with internet gps and back camera (the works)

Mechanically there was no point modding it with tis cute 1.5L nat aspirated enginge. I however tweaked a few things with the OBD II and disconnected some stuff to get it to 42mpg on highway (best I ever got out of it)

fast forward 4 months later. I was ready to flip the car. 1 month of looking for a Z and a buyer for the purple bug, I finally found something close to what I ever wanted.

Sold the yaris for 5.5K to a mom who was gifting it to her daughter who had purple hair and was going to college.
AND FINALLY
bought a 2005 350z Touring with 94k Miles, no accidents 4 owners and ALL STOCK. even came with burnt orange seats.

I have been browsing these forums ever since i was 17 and It has come a long way. Ill make a new thread and re-post all these properly but as of now I am off to the lot to work on this Z

ill pics later tonight but the list goes:

broken windshield fluid reservoir (cracked)
power seats broken)
lots of scaratches here and there.
trunk broken
read windshield wiper ,motor dud
broken driver side handles
moist on the headlights
and a few more

ill be going tot ry and fix the important ones and will try to document them as I go.
till then!

Welcome to the forums dude. I never thought I'd say nice Yaris, but wow! Nice Yaris Z's are a lot of work, but it's rewarding work and you'll have a car that still manages to turn heads. Have fun with the project.

Back OT- I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you. There's no practical way to change powered OEM Z seat to being manual. The seats actually have a separate computer to run the motors and the seat rails can't be safely modified to make them a manual. Either repair the seats or buy some used OEM manual seats with brackets if you want manual adjustments. Not worth it, IMO.

Basically we just wielded an aftermarket 40$ seat slider in between the oem bracket and the oem "sliders". (we also welded the power sliders together and took out the motors. left the rest as it was. and poof Manual OEM seats <100 total , 40 i f you have a welder yourself.
