Default 04 to 06+ headlight grounding issue

Anyone here?

I've got a a headlight grounding issue. Think you could help me out?

I have an 04 hid transferring to 06+
The headlights I got are plug and play with the 8pin connectors but my ballast / bulb has a ground that doesn't connect anywhere

https://youtu.be/-6sA3FXdw-4

This video shows the problem I have.
I tried wrapping some copper wiring to a bolt inside the headlight but I guess it drained my battery so I ended up swapping a new one today.

Take a look at my crap grounding and let me know if you have any solutions. Thanks in advance

That tape tho

Ground it to the ground on the connector.

I also noticed that the oem headlights have all 8 pins and the new headlights only have 7.

Oem all 8 pins

Only 7 . Pin 4 is missing

HID to HID should be a straight swap. You do have the new bulbs and ballasts I'm assuming? 04 is D2R and 06+ is D2S.
