Default Wire tap for driving lights

Where is a good wire tap for ignition on under hood. I want to connect driving lights to be hot when engine on.

Thanks!

Hi
1) you should have them on a relay, as most of the switches that look cool can't handle the amperage.
2) there should be about 5 or 6 places on the fuse block where you can get the current you need, feed the relay and the lights from the fuse block hot side, and install a switch on the down side of the relay coil to ground, and the low side of the lights to any nut or screw on the frame (just make it look nice).
There are a couple places where you can pull the wires through the firewall to mount the switch in the cabin. Protect the wires with tape where they go through the firewall. I would not recommend wiring to allow the lights to come on automatically- this could be a problem when you need to start on a cold day or if your battery runs down- remember, the battery we have in the Z is roughly the same as Honda uses on their motorcycles.....

Thanks JohnZ. I have wiring kit that came with lights that includes a relay, a switch, and a remote.
I want the power to the lights to be live when ignition comes on and control it with remote - not using switch or needing to go through fire wall.
I need a power tap under the hood that is on with ignition.
Any ideas?

Thanks!
