Smile Stereo to OBD II to show readout on head unit?

Looked through the forum to see if anyone knows if there is any kind of head unit that will show engine diagnostics on it. I'm looking to upgrade my double din in my 350z to a newer one here eventually and i think it would be an awesome upgrade to be able to see all your oil temp, maf air temp, and whatever else the ecu may show on the double din head unit. I just installed an edge programmer on a 2014 chevy 2500 and having all that info got me thinking. Does any company make a head unit that can do that? I've seen the ipad installs and thats cool and all put id rather not build a new dash. Thanks in advanced!

A lot of them do. Just look for newer pioneer headunits and read the specs and features.

May I chime in? I am looking for the same thing, ONLY I would like to use the upper cubby. I've read you have to use a smaller unit. Looking for something that would be a GPS and would be able to read OBDII parameteres.

I'm certainly no expert but my Kenwood dd has USB 2/3 input. I believe if you look at file types supported by different head units and compare to your source output you'll have your answer.
