looks sweet, but i wouldn't buy it just for weight savings... honestly our stock aluminum hoods are pretty light as it is, and the bumper is probably only going to fetch you a few pounds... skirts probably weight the same as stock since they're bulkier... and the rear valence is an add-on... the net savings would probably be less than 30lbs...

you might as well save yourself 2000 bucks and just go on atkins for a month

Jason,

Why the Fusion Hood? Why not the Seibon ones?

Exactly, your car looks awesome JASON but that hood just threw it off way to much to AGGRESSIVE when the Nismo kit is very clean and subtle. just my .02cents.

why do I have a feeling that is a cf overlay kit? hood included.

if it is, it would probably be heavier than stock. and painting it would be competely worthless as the point is to get the look only.

unless of course that hood is like 1200$ and 2000 for the bumper. then maybe it is real cf(and still wet, or double those prices for dry)

because the carbon fiber color wouldnt match the rest of my kit... the CF that VIS is matched to them selves... not matched to the other kit by the other manufacturer...

they are fiber glass kits with a layer of CF in front.. the hood is a little heavier then stock... NO carbon fiber hood for the Z is lighter then stock.. light is soo light it is stupid.. like 14 pounds light...

it was either the Fuzion or the OEM type both by VIS... I wanted more agressive...

ROAR like a tiger baby... ROAR!

hahah

I will post more photos of my car when I get my wheels back on the rear.. rite now I am riding on stockers on the back

if you look at the hood from different angles it gives off a different vibe...

I like it...

thats what matters

oh indeed, not that the car needs CF parts in those areas, their aluminum and plastic already not real heavy. but I imagine someone buying a CF overlay and then painting it to have a cf hood but not be ricey. thatd be pretty silly.

I bet you didn't bother seeing the SEIBON ones..? Next time we meet I'll show you mine, anyhow I beg to differ. MY hood is 6lbs lighter than stock... Not much of a weight savings, but I didn't buy the hood to save weight more for the design.

I have seen it... but the color of the carbon fiber does not match the rest of my kit.. the hood matches my front bumper, side sills, under spoiler, and wing perfectly...

cnile51... Did you stick your front emblem on the bumper with the normal backing that is on it? I cant decide weither or not to put an emblem on my bumper yet. Ive thought of using a really weak double sided tape and seeing how I like it...

you have a beautiful car by the way! I want to see more of it

am I the only one that thinks that the half carbon fiber / half oem color makes the car look like a junkyard salvage?

Not knocking yer car, Jason ... cause its awesome! It just reminds me too much of the unpainted kit "Rainbow Warriors" that drive around in my area.
