Question Replica kits on ebay....

Anyone get their replica kit from ebay? I've seen members w/ replica's that fit just as good as the real thing and was wondering where you all got yours......

Nismo for $399

Sprint for $299.99

That last one was shady cuz it says "No Pickup Allowed"

Jus curious if these are worth looking into...

no, many people have had the unpleasant experience of buying nismo replica kits that fit like sh*t. if you want to pay 1/10 of the price that other people payed go for it, but trust me, the kit wont fit at all.

Yeah, I think some people are just trying to justify why they spent extra on other knock off kits.

i have had a replica kit and had to replace the front bumper like 3 times cause the quality of the fiberglass was crap. spend the extra 4-5 hundred bucks to get the real thing

the old saying you get what you pay for .....applies to body kits as well .......I bought a WALD kit for my car i paid $1945 shipped...and that does not include the spoiler, i still have to get that.....and that is another 900-1000 dollars......but that said, i think i got my moneys worth...the kit i got is FRP material and it is flawless....not one blemish in the finish....all edges are perfectly sanded...i havnt fitted it to the car yet...too busy at work....but as soon as i do a prefitment ill post pics......

Ill give you guys a good breakdown of these kits. I bought one myself when it first came out and god forbid it was 1100 for a replica.
The fitment itself is good, these are no mass produced honda civic kits but exact molds of the genuine nismo kit.. Think about it, why woudl a seller sell a f#cked up kit and get a negative feedback and stop his business there when he can sell 10+ kits.
Thats why his price is so low, so he can make quantity sales similar to many dealers in NY that are selling digital cameras below most mom and pop stores costs.

However, keep in mind since this is fiberglass it will get chipped very easily. I got my bumper repainted twice because of the material, not that the nismo replica is crap but ALL fiberglass materials are the same regardless if its on a Mercedes or BMW.
Thus, it is an absolute must to invest in a clear bra for the bumper (thats what im doing). You factor the 300$ for the clearbra plus $399 for the kit and your still making out with leftover money for other mods.

Wanted to end this pointless bickering because out of all the posts in these threads not one offered a good explanation why it sucked, you get what your paying, etc, etc.

First the side skirts have a wide gap, spoiler doesn't sit flush, the front bumper doesn't fit right( gap around the head lights, and gap where the wheel fenders meet ).

This post started out with e-bay listings. The only recourse a buyer has, is to leave bad feedback. You are stuck with a poor fitting kit. I've looked to buy replica kits that were already installed on cars. The fiberglass doesn't give. It cracks instantly on contact. In one case the buyer had to have it stretched to fit the bumper. You may get lucky and have no probs., but I wouldn't buy a kit off e-bay.
