Front bumper reflectors - need or no?

Can I just remove the orange reflectors and leave the holes open? Instead of putting clear or smoked lenses that don't light up. I think it my look ok with just nothing there? Any opinions? Do you think it will allow too much water to get in?

i currently have no reflectors on, it looks ok. no huge difference in looks. although you can see the windshield washer fluid holder through the hole.
but when i get my bumper back from the body shop, the reflectors are going back on.

In Fla, and probably most anywhere else, they are required by law. So, if you don't mind the potential ticket...
BTW, the law here also states that DVD/Video players must be mounted behind the driver's seat (not on the seat itself, can be roof). So those in-dash DVD players are all "illegal". I guess doesn't matter unless they catch you with it on and in motion...

Are you referring to the orange reflector?? cuz theres still one on the headlight.
