Default DE headlights on a 2006+ 350z

I have some custom headlights meant for an 03-05. I recieved them as a gift and want to install them on my 06 350z. Has anyone done this, if you have how did you go about wiring it. I really want to know how to do it but it seems there is not much info on how to do that just the upgrading headlights from an 03 to an 06. Will I need a new harness?
info greatly appreciated.

From that picture, based on the projector position, those look like bi-xenons. Can you post a picture from up close without them illuminated? Also, a pic of the harness on the back of the lights would also be helpful.

Based on the LED strip and demon eyes, some non-oem wiring is going to be necessary.

The pic is 06+ if you are taking those off the car and putting 05s you should reconsider

I'm curious as to what these custom headlights actually look like. If you have an 03-05 Z with HID and the corresponding 8-pin harness connector, then you can absolutely swap in some 06+ headlights since they use the same harness. So, if these 03-05 "DE" headlights are HID and have the 8 pin harness connector, but they have been modified to a single bi-xenon projector (same design as 06+) then OP can put them in his 06 no problem.

Of course, if for some reason, the custom headlights use a 6-pin connector on the harness, since OP's 06 should have an 8-pin, it is still possible with a new harness or some custom wiring connections. Looking at the original pic more closely, and I'd be curious if these are actually the headlights since this Z looks like RHD and maybe something just found on the interwebs.

Seems like I've seen quite a few of this style headlights. Can you (or someone) point me as to where I can by this from? Even better if you know a link with the best price.

If you are insisting on installing LED demon eyes or replacing the entire headlight itself, think twice.... at least retain the '06 Bi-Xenon OE configuration. Unless of course, you don't mind a downgrade to pre-'06 lights which don't have as much light output nor are they as clean as the Bi-Xenons (cut off, color & clarity, and such). But I guess if you're after the look, nothing else matters.

If you do yank the OE '06+ lamps, I got $100 if you wanna ship 'em to me. Laff.....

There are lots of companies out there that will do the work for you if you're not up to the task. Here are a couple:

https://www.yuniqueled.com/products/...ts-labor-parts

If you want to try and tackle the project yourself, you can get build materials from TRS, Diode Dynamics, or VLEDs, to name a few...

Can't say I've ever seen a flawless set of modified headlights, that's why I'm strongly against them, most look cheezy AF too.

Did we ever find an answer to see if a 06 headlight will fit on a 2004?

All headlights are interchangeable, might not be P&P tho.

watch the video and read the comments...explains how to go in either direction..older to newer or newer to older.

I've done the conversion myself by just re-wiring the needed connector to fit the car's connector, wasn't fun per se but wasn't horrible either. Just did the wiring on a couch while watching TV. Has been fine for years. I went with 06 OEM Xenons on a pre-06 non-HID coupe.

I just found this video yesterday actually looking for something else and thought it might help you. When I did it I had to scour the internet quite a bit to find the correct wiring diagram.
