For those with LED parking lights
There is so much on the forums about this but still I can't seem to find the answer to my question.
Do the LED parking light bulbs from Ares change the look of the base headlights when lit?
I know the parking lights look sweet when they're lit alone, but I don't drive with just my parking lights. I would like to see a side-by-side comparison of a base (non-HID) headlight and one with the LED parking light.
Anyone? Thanks

It will change the look, but not by much at all. I know you might not care about this, but just for the slim chance that you might, check out this thread...
Ares LED parking bulbs...

a white LED will not alter the base headlight, with HID it removes the yellow tint the parking light was giving.
if your headlight was already yellow, a blue parking light may counter it to be white. but thats just a guess.
it will not in any way affect the color or ouput of the headlight on the road.

Nah... I don't think that's how it works. With incandescent bulbs... the blue "condom" is a filter.
Blue LEDs emit blue light, so it doesn't filter anything... just emit.
With base headlights + white Luxeon LED... the combo would be interesting, but not disasterous.
Just buy them. :-D

yeah, hard to tell, as Ive never seen it, Im just going based on seanrulz pictures. but he has 6000K HID bulbs, but with the blue LEDs in it looke REALLY blue still. might be camera tricks, or just because of the 6000k bulbs, or who knows what else.
Just got the LED's today and they are installed. Hard to tell how they look as its a sunny day, but I will post my impressions after tonight. As far as during the day, the stock definatly have an off white/yellow light emission to them. The led's are very much bright white in color. I love them so far!
Yea.. if you're not around LEDs much, you won't notice the difference until you put a white one next to incandescent. Then it really gets noticible. My friends thought the same since they didn't know much about them, but they knew it produced a much cleaner color when they saw it.
As for camera tricks... shouldn't be really. Sometimes the camera has to adjust itself before and after the picture is taken so not everything is accurate. I leave mine on auto since I dont' know much about ISO stuff... the camera is pretty darn good. :-D
Also, the most accurate color of blue/white LEDs is probably best if taken with a film-based camera. These LEDs slightly emit light that is outside of our viewing capability, but sometimes the CCD can pick it up.
I'm sure one can see the difference using a cheap camera and a UV LED. Like on my phone, it shows up blue.
