Just bought a 2006 Grand Touring Convertible, I have had it about two weeks and the top was working fine, kind of stalled for a second while the storage hatch was opening, So I
Spoiler
have released the front bow latch
and the back bow raise and the storage lid comes up 4 or 5 inches and stops, pushing button it try's but does same thing it will close ok from the hung spot but will not open, pulling the two release wires in trunk still cant raise lid not going to force anything but have applied some pressure. I don't think its the 5th bow motor because it release and raise back bow ok, its the storage deck lid that's hanging up. Any suggestion on what to do or how to trouble shoot. help please, the only thing i can see is it shows a little rubbing between trunk and storage lid and when it hangs up the drivers side of storage hatch is open a little more and the passengers side rear hinge is not opened as much and the outside bolt is missing which connects the lid to hatch, I will replace that right away but is there more to do like aligning don't think that's the only problem it sounds like a weak motor , I have removed all of trunk so motors are visible just don't know when the two back there come in to play.
