Man... that makes me a lil nervous. I'm about to order a bunch to work on some cars this summer.
Of all the BW02s I ordered, none turned out yellow. I have similar ones with the Luxeon stars. In the day, it's gotta purple hue. At night... it looks pretty nice. I think BW01s are brighter, though, despite the coloring. The BW01s were supposed to learn towards sunlight white, but I only found a couple that did that.
Too bad we can't get our hands on Nichias... I think their bin sorting process is more rigorous. They have their own high powered LEDs like Luxeon... but are stupid expensive.
