Finally got the digital camera cable from my girl... here are the pics of the wing! I still haven't had a chance to mount it on my car though (too busy in the office)...

BTW the wing sits high on the car right now because I'm paranoid about scratching my paint ... it's actually sitting on a pair of gloves and a huge sponge, so it's 2 inches higher than it will be once i get it installed

nice finish! the quality is top notch... only issue i have is that the primer the shop sprayed on it is pretty thin... I'll probably get the shop to respray this prototype, and also ask that the group buy wings get thicker primer

last one... the tip is wet from the sponge I used to hold it (i didn't hold it with my hands to keep finger oils from getting on the primer)

 

bat: the look is *close* to a celica one but there's no ugly ridge on it :P... when you compare it side-by-side with a celica one like i did, you'll notice the difference... it looks like a mazdaspeed one too (for those who don't know, that's what the mold for this was based on... which incidentally, if you want to look at it that way, looks like a celica wing too... it's just the style)

Anyway I paid 890 to get this wing built, but that includes a deposit for the group buy... once the other 6 minimum orders come in, my price will be the smae as everyone elses

I had 6 names from the previous thread, but i'll restart a list here to confirm... the price is 400-450 cdn, or 290-320 USD... the final price depends on the total number, but that was the price quoted to me by the shop. I'll keep this thread up and take orders until the 21st (22nd is a Monday - i'll take the order in at that time)

and you're welcome... but the wing's for me too; honestly, i think this style is the nicest shape for a Z... it's clean, and it doesn't have any rough lines anywhere (like the nismo)... i have to say i'm pretty happy with it... and plus....... the sooner the group buy is over the sooner i get my deposit back too!

 

When you get the wing on please let me know how well the trunk pops open. I know with the nismo spoiler, sometimes it doesn't pop open all the way. I am definitely interested but I need a couple of weeks before I have the money to purchase.

 

The fix for the nismo wing is removing the counter weight and adding these peices that stop furniture from sliding/scratching the floor. So this trick should work for that wing. By the looks of it, it is prolly lighter than the Nismo wing.

yeah it does!!! i think that if i want to get that wing, instead ill just remove it from my Celica. LOL j/k! at first i thought that it was Nismo's.
