What is the benefit of this aluminum over the stock plastic piece?

Interested -- but wadd, how about a secondary access door to get to the oil filter without having to take the whole thing off?

Hmm, I wonder if diamond tread would be too 4x4 looking?

I would be worried about denting/scraping that piece. Does it hang lower than the stock plastic? My concern is that plastic will give by bending or being scraped and then will return to its original shape, this thing would get beat up very quickly if it hangs too low. I have the NISMO suspension and think that it would not be wise to mount metal pieces especially under the front of the car. I would like to see a comparision to the stock plastic piece. All said, it does look very nice and a very clean install. Let's see pictures of the stock piece installed and measured compared to the ARC piece with similar measurements.

I guess if you had a showcar it'd be cool, but on any street car, I see no reason why to waste your money. You'd be lucky if it lasted several months, as there are always road hazards and branches in the road that you run over. But, by all means, do it, and sell me your OEM undertray, as I could use a new one.
