Default 04 Leather Different?

Anyone know if Nissan changed the leather interior on the Touring model for 04? I told a dealer that I didn't like the leather in the 03s, and he is trying to tell me that Nissan changed it for 04. I think he is lying to try and sell me one that he has on the lot. Anyone know anything about upgraded leather on the 04 model?

Thanks.

AF

Default no change

From all of the research I have done so far I have not seen anything about the leather being any different from last year. They did start to offer dealer installed leather as an option for non-touring models, but it is supposedly made by the same company that supplys the standard factory leather. (classic soft is the company name I believe) The factory installed stuff hasn't changed though.

I called nissan and proved that this guy was full of crap. I wish I could find a car salesman that actually tells the truth.

Funny you say that. I was supposed to go pick mine up tonight. The dealer was having it shipped in from another dealer in another state. Supposedly the car was already on its way up here. I put a deposit on it over the weekend and was supposed to take delivery tonight. I get a call from the sales manager this morning to tell me that the dealer they were having the car shipped from sold the car out from under them. Now they can't find another one like it anywhere. He offered me an additional discount off the price if I wanted to get one in a different color, but he could not get the one I wanted anywhere in the region.

My guess is that my dealer just saw the car on the other dealers inventory over the weekend and assumed he could call this morning and have it shipped up today. I would have thought after putting a deposit on that particular car that it was mine. The dealer wouldn't take a deposit on a car they didn't have right? I think when he took my deposit he sincerely thought it wouldn't be a problem getting that car, but if he wasn't 100% on it he shouldn't have taken the deposit.

If anyone in Indiana bought a silverstone enthusiast with the 6mt this weekend you are driving my car. Enjoy...

I have had a dealer sell my maxima out from under me after I had already put down a deposit once too. They said they were "detailing it" and that it would be ready in a couple of hours, when in actuality they found some sucker to pay more for the car than I would and just sold it to him. Car dealers are the lowest form of scum on the planet and I am irate that I have to deal with it all over again because some old woman wrecked my Z. I am seriously considering just ordering through carsdirect.com. Good luck.

Was it Bommarito Nissan? Was the salesman's name Todd? Everyone in St. Louis buys their Z from him. I have a procharged silverstone enthusiast that I am selling that I bought from Todd last year. I initially wanted it in black but they couldn't find one. If its him, he will find you one like he did me. They do dealer trades...

It wasn't bommarito actually. I don't want to say which dealer in the posts here in case someone there reads this forum. The place I have been dealing with has actually been pretty good so far. I went to test drive a couple of weeks ago and they didn't have what I wanted. I told the salesman what I was looking for and he went out and found it, and was supposedly having it shipped up here before I even committed to it. I guess he figured if I didn't buy it someone else would.

I think I may have seen your car at bommarito on a friday night a couple of weeks ago. Do you have a video screen in the nav location and ADR M-Sports? How do you like your procharger?

I like the procharger a lot. In all honesty I don't know how I survived without it. A couple guys have taken theirs off and were so depressed they sold their cars. I would highly reccomend some form of forced induction. After the research I did, ATI made the most sense.

The car you saw wasn't mine. My car has very few after market parts on the exterior. Chrome grill, nismo front finisher, clear bra and tinted windows. If I decide to keep the car I will lower it and put on some nice volk wheels on it.

Unfortunatly I have a buyer, who is waiting to hear back about his loan. I think there is a good chance he will buy it. My family is getting bigger (wife expecting in the next couple days) so I must find a four seater.

If your deal falls through with your current dealer, Todd is great. I however do not take my car there to be serviced. I have had better luck with Moore for service. Goodluck finding what you want.

I will definitely keep todd in mind if nothing works out with the other dealer. I have another question for you. Where did you get your clear bra done? I was looking into that but can't seem to find anyone around here that does it. I remember one guy at a car show last year at fast lane in st. charles that does it, but I can't find any info on him anymore. Also, is there a Z owners group here in St. Louis? I know there is a VW owners club and they all seemed like a cool group of guys. I wonder if there is anything like that for the Z.

Congradulations on your new baby and good luck with the delivery! No pun intended but I hope everything comes out alright.

Quality Glass off of Manchester at about Mason is the best place to go for the clear bra, which is a must for a Z IMO.

I haven't tried to find any Z groups. I used to be part of a local Supra group but now with almost two kids I have become too busy.
