I just installed mine yesterday and figured out that the shift boot is too short to reach the bottom of the ****.

It looks fine when I put to neutral, but it's a little off when I shift to 4th, 5th, 6th and Reverse

anyone has the same problem and how you solve it?

Yep. Just did mine too. Luckily, I had the rubber finisher from my old plain Nismo Titanium **** to use instead. Try to find just a finisher online somewhere to put between the **** and boot. It looks really good with it on there too.

try pm'ing wakaz. he has that **** too. his looks good. dont remember if he used the finisher too.

 

you can solve this problem by having a cable tight looping in circle around the shifter under the shift boot, this way, the cable tight will push the shift book upwards and your shifter will be looking good!

Yeah - I did that when I did the install (thanks to an earlier thread from the guy with the white NSIMO Z) but a finisher sure would be nice.

 

I have been looking for that finisher/spacer piece forever. I have been informed that all Nismo ***** come with them EXCEPT the GT ****. If anybody knows where I can get this piece, please PM me, I will gladly pay you for it. Also, maybe somebody can machine a finisher piece for those of us who don't have it.

The rubber finisher is circled in this pic that I stole from someone else's post.

I think it looks really clean with my GT shifter.

I can't find one, yet. Go to Home Depot and look for something similar. MOMO makes these, but I have no idea if they will fit.

that rubber finisher pictured comes with the metal nismo shift ***** besides the GT *****...

that finisher is actually ment to go below the shift boot i think...

some people have used some rubber hose and put it under the shift boot...

 

Jason, I think it def. finishes off the shifter nicely. Wonder if you can come up with some and sell them separately for the GT *****?

Does anybody have a pic of the Nismo Titanium GT **** with the finisher. Maybe I can end my torment in looking for this finisher piece if I see the **** with the finisher. So far, the only pics I have found are the Nismo Carbon Fiber shifter with the piece.

 

Here's a pic of the chrome nismo **** I just put in yesterday. I like the look of this one the best...a little bling in the cabin and way cheaper! $50 or so.
