Default Street scene grill question

I'm thinking about purchasing the street scene grill. On the performance nissan page they say that it can be installed on top of the stock grill with no cutting or other modifications. For those of you who have installed it is this true, and if so how easy is it to put on like that?

yeah you can install it on top of the stock grille. I test-fitted it there, and it works.

Theyve stated its easier to take the bumper off the install it. I haven't installed mine yet, though.

you can put it over the stock grill with no mods. both ends have no way of being fastened however. it is being held on by clips... 15 if i remember correctly. my friend and i didnt use all the clips.

we only took off the underbody cover. it would have been much easier to apply if we took off the whole bumper, but we had already taken it off at an earlier date to change out his side markers, and werent in the mood to take off the bumper again.

i would recommend painting it gunmetal or something similiar. it doesnt look quite right for some reason on his ppw. i think gunmetal would make it look sweet.

I guess the grill still stays on there just fine (no rattling, etc.) even though you couldn't clip the ends?

as far as i know, he has no problems wtih rattling. i rarely ever ride in his car, but he hasnt said anything. it is just that the grill opening doesnt go across the entire length. if you press on the ends with your hand, there is some very slight movement in and it springs back, but nothing serious.

I put it over the stock grill and fits find...had to bend in some of the metal a little to get a snug fit...any you have to carefully slide it in so you dont scrach the paint.
