You could get away without taking out the headlight if you remove the front part of the wheel arch liner. Then you can get to the turn signal wiring.

But your way looks really neat because you seem to have done it without needing to take the wheel off. Is that correct?

I had my bumper off last weekend for the first time to fit some driving lights and it was a pretty big job by the time I'd jacked the front, removed wheels, liners etc.
