Default Should I order the Nissan Aero Package?

I just placed a tentative order at my dealership, which won't be finalized until May 3, so I have a few days to make up my mind on exactly how I want my Z trimed. So far I have definitly decided on a Tourning 6-speed in Silverstone with Burnt Orange leather. I'm also getting the side air bags/head curtains, Navigation system, and aluminum kick plates. My question is, should I also have the factory aerodynamic package added to my list? I've been looking for pics online and haven't really found what I'm looking for. Speaking with my dealer, he tells me that the package IS available for the tourning, but doesn't recommend it because it rides to low. He's also trying to talk me into the splash guards, which I'm not to crazy about. I was wondering if any of you had the aero package and could post some pics, so I could make my final decision soon.

Any pics and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL AUGUST TO TAKE DELIVERY OF MY Z! I'VE JUST ABOUT WORN OUT THE PAGES ON THE BROCHOUR I GOT FROM MY DEALER!

The aero package includes a front aero deflector and a small rear spoiler. Check the gallery for pics. Frankly, I don't think it's worth the $500 for it as an option. Came standard on my track, I don't see how the front deflector lowers your ride.

The aero package...

Is two small lips... NOTHING that will cause the car any less ground-clearance, as the front undertray sits lower!

$500?

Not worth it... spend that and get a good looking aftermarket lip.

The kit was engineered to give 350Z a zero left.

Does the aero package only include the chin spoiler and the rear spoiler? I think I've been looking for the wrong thing. I think my salesperson may have misunderstood me. I was told that the package was a kit that wrapped around the car. Does NISMO sell a kit? I'm not interested in a radical wing. A small spoiler will do. On the NISMO website however, they don't list the kit that is pictured with the decal set. Is that kit available?

http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=495

If I do get the kit from Nissan, just for their spoiler, will I have to remove the other stuff to fit a NISMO kit?

I'M SO CONFUSED!

The factory kit is just the tiny little "lip" under the front bumper which is barely noticeable and the small rear spoiler. If you get the Nismo kit you will have to remove the rear spoiler only. If you want to get the Nismo kit I would say drop the factory aero kit from your order and order the Nismo kit from one of the Forum sponsors. If you just want the Nismo rear spoiler, you can order that separately.

HIP:

If you want to get the nismo kits (which you think that kit only wraps around the original body), you will need to drop your original front bumper, side skirts and the rear spoiler as they come in as the replacement parts... as for the rear pods, they are just add-ons... hope that helps!

cheers,

richie

get the custom one that looks like the Celica's, the contour flows better than the Nismo's. (IMO) dont feel like doing search for the post about it, ill find it later.

you can add them after...

OEM Nissan Rear Spoiler (comes painted)

OEM Front Under Spoler (little grey thing that hangs down like an inch)

OEM Front Splash Guards (comes painted)

OEM Rear Spalsh Guards (comes painted)

The total to add them on your own...

$484.85 plus shipping from me for the above...

The front spoiler is $59.95 and the rear is $335 painted w/ stronger rear hatch stays..

It's going to be tuff with summer right around the corner and your Z still being built. I would suggest try search the Dealer inventory online for your specific Z? Sometimes you may find an available Z with your exact option or close to it.
