Default Cooling plate

So has anyone here tried to make a cooling plate? All it looks like is a peice of sheet metal with punched out holes. It doesnt seem too hard with the right tools.

So if youve attempted this mod with success or failure let us know. I would like to hear about it.

even most sellers will tell you its 80% cosmetic. so if you cant make it look good, dont waste your time.

I think sheet metal would look nice. You could also spray it any color and etch whatever you want on it. Customizing options would be endless. With the cost so low you wouldnt have to worry about making a $100 mistake. I think with the right tools and a nice template this could be easily accomplished.

so has anyone tried?

Strictly-Z all ready makes one out of stainless steel for just 56 bucks. Anyone have ones of these? Looks good to me.

they had a shop make it. why would you even ask for a template? like they are going to just give it out.

Manufacturers do not give away engineering prints or autocade files on the products that they manufacture. At best, and this is a long shot, they might sell you a copy, and all this depends on who you are and what you plan on doing with it. But, it will cost you an arm and a leg.
Go and buy one , your better off in the long run!
