I vote smoked, do wish they werent amber though...

but it completes the dark look oh so nicely. white stands out too much for my tastes.

I want smoked with no amber at all and both the japanese ones and bats leave a bit of amber that can be seen, so i am combining the two. Should be done next Wednesday assuming that's the day i recieve my smoked side markers. hopefully it'll be dark enough to hide all the amber.

(on a sidenote: i installed bats tail light and rear bumper smoked overlays and they look amazing. i've heard nothing but compliments about them)

smoke all you want on the amber, so long as light goes in it will reflect back out amber. only chance to stop that is to totally black it out so no light ever gets to the amber portion.

I have a set of clears that are not useable but the clear lens if perfect(screwed up the backing).

Im gonna go frankenstein on these suckers and match a clear set of lenses to a donor backing(this requires 2 sets to make one since you must destroy the lens to get the backing and vice versa)

then... Im going to paint the backing's inside black and put the clear on it. with any luck the lens will then appear black(as the lens is just clear, its "white" comes from the gray plastic behind it)

why the hell bother you ask? its true bats overlay on a clear set would be way way easier and cheaper. but in my way lets me have smoked sidemarkers while maintaining full LED brightness at night(no tint).

oh, and I apparently have WAY too much free time on my hands.

im sure the clear sidemarkers with the smoked overlay is the best way to go...but that would have been 40 bucks more than i spent going the jdm smoked sidemarker way. sooo as a poor college student cheaper = better!

i do like the sound of ares's idea though! that would be perfect.

bat i'll have those pics up as soon as i get them on the net.
