Default side mirrors

how do you remove the side mirrors and the backing plate? do you need to remove the entire door panel? and if so how do you do that?

i'm looking to put the JGTC style c-west mirrors on and i need to get mine off and i cant figure it out... please somebody chime in here and help me out... if not moderators kill this thread please.

You do have to remove the door panels. There's a How To in the Audio Section (under How To thread sticky on top)

Once the panels are off, the mirror comes off in 3 steps. (see diagram)

1) Remove Corner cover (just pull, think it's held in by clips only)

2) Unplug the Power Mirror harness.

3) Remove the 3 nuts holding the mirror to remove the mirror.
