oh my ish, yea, i didnt think of removing the headlight and turning it upside down so that it falls down. i cant get pics cause my camera is being repaired(after a classmate of mine dropped it!!) but it fell all the way down to the bottom.
BE VERY CAREFUL PUTTING THOSE STUPID BULBS IN

and i thought i was the only one. i also dropped the bulb into the housing. had to remove the bumper to remove the headlight and then slowly flipped it over and got the bulb out.
that is the only way possible. i tried the gum on a stick thing, then i thought perhaps the gum isn't sticky enough, so then i used a rolled up ball of duct tape. but that also didn't work.
good luck.
Ha! This happened to a local Z guy installing some clear bulbs about a year ago.
It took us 2 hours to get it out, but maybe you can learn from how we did it.
This is going to sound ridiculous to follow, but I don't feel like trying to make it again and then take a picture, so here goes:
Bend a coat hanger into the exact angle downward that you need and then make a small loop at the end with some needle nose pliers.
Get some 40lb test fishing line and push it through the small loop at the end so that both ends of the fishing line are in your hand.
Push the coat hanger in, careful not to scratch the headlight lens cover and get the bulb base through the loop of the fishing line.
With the loop of the coat hanger resting on top of the bulb base pull the line tight, securing the bulb against the coat hanger tip and bring it up and out.
Keep in mind that this is pretty difficult and the curvature angle of the headlight coupled with the angle of approach (from behind the wheel well), makes not hitting the inside of the headlight lens really hard, so just put some black electrical tape on the tip of the coat hanger so if you hit the lens, it won't so much as scratch it.
Good freaking luck.

Well on my nice sunday off I went about getting it out. I tried putting a hanger in but like you said, its very hard. All that did was make a small scratch in my headlight chrome plastic. So I did what Ares suggester. 3 million bolts later the bumper was off and the headlight was out. I just flipped it and got the bulb out.
Wow, what a crappy experience. On a better note, the car is super clean and a blast to drive still. I love it!
