Fiberimages CF hatch complete.. weight savings: ~48 pounds
Fiberimages has completed a rear hatch mold using dry carbon process.
Weight of the Stock hatch w/o Glass was ~ 56 pounds.
Weight of the CF hatch w/o glass was ~ 8 pounds..
Weight of the stock hood was ~13 pounds
weight of their CF hood design was ~7 pounds. (stock hood design with vents)
all was done w/ dry process.. add a little more weight if you want the clear coat/gloss look to it... check out the local race scene for it... a local SoCal company owner's project Z...
fiberimage are now in the process of building my fender designs, expect % weight savings similar to the hood... and more importnantly... expect the finalization of the body kit as well.. just need to have time to have to car there to test fit everything.. the front fenders should be around 1/2" wider than stock, to make those with the +22 offset rims look at little more flush... rear fender designs are still in the works. but should just be a simple bolt on cover as previously seen on my toy & clay mock up hehehheh-

I have seen the Varis hatch, looking forward to seeing this one. Is there a possibility to have a vented Lexan window inserted in place of the glass with this- a la Ferrari Challange Strasdale? And is the rear wiper hole included or covered. I would prefer covered to eliminate the wiper and motor altogether. Please keep us informed.

picts/pricing info soon..
the first one was made for a race team and its has "left the building"... they were in a real rush-
the hole for the wiper blade is sealed. and its up to you to cut a hole for the wiper blade assembly..
i'd estimate street pricing to be under $1k... more info soon
