the STUPID thing about impressing that crowd is this....
1. why does anyone want to impress someone who doesn't care about cars with thier (wannabe) car?
2. The ONLY people that might even know what an Aston Martin is just be walking by, are ALSO going to recognize that what they see ACTUALLY is NOT one. In other words the "car people" are just going to laugh at you for spending money just to be a poseur, the "non-car people" are not going to notice anyways, and who else is there???
Pretty lame if you ask me.

That gotta be the worst thing done to a z if it's not photo shopped. I would rather get neons and sticker hood pins than do that to my Z. That just reminded me today....seen a 3 series bimmer with M3 emblems. What a loser!

I think its a cool idea.
Think about - what if Aston Martin - in an effort to appeal to younger buyers, bought 350z chassis. Then they rebodied them, mildly uptuned them, and installed a brand new interior (of which Aston Martin is king). Sell 'em for $60k, call it a DB-Z. Limited edition though, no more than 500 in existance.
That would be sweet. It would never happen, but this is the sort of out-of-the-box thinking we need people!

I do think its gay to put emblems on your car that are not your make of vehicle but its not gay to put different front ends from other cars on to different cars if it fits. That aston martin front end fits, i dont like the head lamps but that whole car looks bad ***. Its not even that big of a difference from anyother front lip kit. its basically just the grill and Aston Martin grills(front ends) are the sickest ive ever seen. The Zs sleek design backs that up. I wouldnt do it to my car but that Z looks SICK.

Hmm, Automotive Design Major friend of mine showed me how this was photo shopped. so no line was crossed and that is something I am glad of. He also told me how unholy he thought mixing of cars is. most body kits ruin the lines of the car that were painstakingly placed by the designer in the first place (especially Erebui, bootleg company) anywhoo, thats my vent on his behalf.
