zzzgirlzzz,

Here's a couple spots

www.visionautodynamics.com
www.decah.com
www.extremedimensions.com

I haven't gotton one yet but I'm seriously looking at picking up the vision or decah kit. Let me know if you want to try for a group buy or something too. My company has a license for automotive retail so maybe we can set that up.

As far as I know the decah kit is bolt on. Fairly simple install from what I can recall when I had mine added.

No welding is required for the kit purchased from carexcess.

FYI:

carexcess.com just got bot by Wild Child Customs. Web site is still the same.

I just ordered a kit. I chose them cause of all the positive feedback I have read in this forum about them.

Got an install quote of $290. Not sure if that is good.

Man if thats your quote for install from ex-carexcess then thats awesome mine was quote a bit more with them and that was only a few months back. From what i heard they raised the price of the kit itself though so maybe thats why the install went down.

$290 is from a body shop managed by a friend.....guess it is a good price!

It looks like he's either doing me a favor, or does not realize all the work that is involved.

How easy is it to open(lift) the doors a close them after the install? Does the temp. outside effect it at all?

Temperature is of no consequence. Nothing a lady couldn't easily do as far as lifting.

Not really you can still open the door quiet a good distance. Harder to get out then in in all honesty. Mainly because your so used to pushing your door open with some force and this way it will bounce back at you and isnt good for the alignment of the hinge.

i got my decah kit from aspecmotorsports for 1300, BUT paid another 1400 in labor to install the damn thing. i still saved a ton over what carexcess was charging with labor.

HOWEVER, i dont reccomend aspecmotorsports. the decah kit they're selling is not modified to specifically fit the 350z. your installer will have to do some major modifications and most likely some welding to keep labor costs down.

i dont know if anyone else is having this problem, but the inside of the door panels will get worn out over time from all the rubbing, so the door panels will have to also be modified. im waiting on my 2 new door panels to come in.

make sure your installer knows what he's doing. i had idiots working on mine and it took them 15 days from start to finish. i just picked her up yesterday.

Damn sorry to hear that but yes I do also have issues with the inside of the door panel rubbing on the upright supports. Simple solution is getting a nice cushiony tape that you cant see while the door is closed and barely noticeable when open to pad the area. The upright enforcement is only fiberglass ( or something else not super sturdy I'm not 100% sure ) over metal so it will crack with the pressure from the weight of the door i've seen it on a few lamboed cars. Don't keep them up in high winds
