Question ATTN:Peeps with Veilside Version 2 Spoiler...

Lookin' at maybe hookin' up with one. Hows quality, fitment, weight? Will the rear hatch stay open without coming down from the weight of the wing? Your input is appreciated.

im posting to hear the results as well. i love that wing, runs nicely with the rear tailights from the side & isnt overly tall like some of the obnoxious wings available.

I got one. The rear hatch will stay open. But it is heavier than stock, so the hatch doesnt totally release when you push the button. I usually have to push the button twice and help it up. Mine fit good, no problems.

I will email you as soon as I take some. I was already planning on it since I just put on some of your overlays. Just have to find the time. Soon though...

I agree the only prob I have is hitting the button twice but the look definatly outweighs that!

Thanks for posting the pics. Did you do the install yourself, or did a bodyshop do it? How much work was involved?

I had a body shop paint and install for $109. Not much work at all. There are usually three squre indentions on each side of the spoiler to match the ones on the strut bar, but I had them patch those up and smooth them out because I was not feelin them. Took about a half hour for them to install after paint. Only four holes. OH! Just make sure that the screws you use are not too long, because either he overscrewed or they were too long on mine and it started coming through on the top side of the spoiler on one of them. He had to take the spoiler off and patch and repaint for that. Hope this helps.

Wow, good price. I notoced the indentations were gone. I'll probably leave mine as they are, to match the door handles.
