Default Are you kidding me?

So, I wake up this morning after a nice night at the movies viewing Anchorman . But, after a nice detailing of my car this morning.. I notice a little friend on my 1 month old paint on my Sarona Bumper. Nice little key job halfway across the whole thing. It was all the way down to the white primer, I used everything I have, and as you can see from the picture, it hardly helps. The bad thing is, I park my car in the VERY back of the theatre, walk all the way around, there was not one car anywhere near mine parked... meaning someone stopped and got out, just to key my car.... Are there really people this ignorant out there? I guess it is getting to be where I can't take my car anywhere unless I can watch it the whole time, so now, after I just paid 550 dollars to have the bumper painted/installed... it will have to be done all over again.

P.S. you guys probably don't want to hear my bantering, just thought I would share my loveley experience with you

Better the bumper than all the way across your fenders/doors... At least you don't need to blend any paint together.

I had one of those. Unless you're going to keep the car in the garage and never let it out of your sight, this happens. Happens to crappy cars as well, but the crappier the car, the less you car about it.

People have tagged my garage door. Does it **** you off? Of course. You'd want someone's cryptic intitials spray painted on your garage about as much as you'd want a nice long key mark scratch on your car.

I don't exactly know what the mentality (or lack thereof) of these folks, but just be glad you aren't as stupid as they are and get it fixed. I did and it not being there and me not seeing it has put the whole thing out of my mind.

Theater might have a secutiry cam though, if you want to go there. Every security cam that they flash on the news is of such poor qulaity that you can barely tell it's a human, let alone who it is. You might get lucky.

Called the theatre this morning, they said their cameras only patrol the sidewalk.. so no help there... I realize that it happens to a lot of us, but that does not make me any less mad, just means money i could have spent elsewhere on the car has to pay for something again

That sucks man, maybe a really good shop can just paint that section and blend it really well..save you from having to repaint the whole thing
Good luck

Thanks Joker, i had it painted at Carstar (which is the most expensive place I know, but out here in Missouri there aren't that many options I called them and they said they'll have to see it in person, but because of the depth they will probabaly not be able to blend it. We will see tho.

That doesn't look like an accident to me. Most likely vandalism. Parking well away from other cars may protect you from other vehicles but it invites the haters to do their dirty deeds since they are not in public view.

I'm really sorry that happened.

That sucks man. But take my advice, if you find the person that did it, don't beat the crap out of them. It will cost you another $1,100.

You'd wish people were nice....but there's a lot of ******** out there. I always want to park out of the way to make sure nothing happens with my Z, but your damned if you do and damned if you don't because then you get morons who see you parked way out and think it would be funny to mess with your car.

I feel sorry for any person I ever catch messing with my Z.

WTF! Does this make someone feel good about themself? Who gets thier jollies off this kind of stuff, I just don't under stand it? If I saw this the next morning I would of snapped! I wish I saw this person do this, I would of broken his/her face (not killing them, maybe just giving them a couple of black eyes). If they put me in jail for defending my car, my property, my pride and others that may be the victim next time, so be it. But I would of felt good about it no matter what. I think a lot of people would do the same, even if they don't act on it, the thought would of pass through thier head.
Sorry for being blunt about it, but I feel this is the only right justice for that

Well, I would have done the same thing if I would have saw it, unfortunately the car was dusty from sitting outside, and i always walk around and check my car to see if anyone messed with it, but i missed it somehow, so i thought it was all good until the next morning.

This is the reason why caning should not be considered a cruel and unusual punishment.
