Default 04 nav door

Can i get the 04 nav door on my 03? I really like the fact that it opens and closes when the car is turned on and off. Can nissan dealer install it in my 03? Thanks

you can even sell your 03 nav door panel to 04 oweners who want to install aftermarket lcd.
they need 03 door panel.

or.. just post it to trade someone's 04 unit.

Just to let you know, you'd have to trade it to an '04 owner who had the navigation unit. The non-navigation '04s have the door that just flips up and stays up (I heard it reduces glare by blocking light, but it doesn't slide into the dash like our '03s do). I don't know how you would even wire up the lid cluster to close and open when the car is turned off/on.

Reggi914,
You're welcome.
Thanks for the Black Magic car wash.
It worked very well. Thanks for spending your own money/time for mailing car wash.
Glad I can help you out in some way.

I will speak to my Nissan dealer about it. I will ask them if they can do it for me.

we sell alot of kits for 04's who want the 03 style door...

we have tried getting 03's and putting on the 04 door but cant get the auto up function to work...

last thing someone tried to do and I think he was sucessful was get a motor at radio shack and control that with some remote source.. the factory motor assembly is too expensive and wont work witout re-doing the harness

What about putting the Radio Shack motor in one of the gears on the nav comparment on the 03s instead of buying an 04 and doing it (unless it goes into the dash differently). I think this would be the best bet for Reggi.
