i think he got his kit from hop-up-racing but it was just a test kit

the kit WILL take more beating than you think and those minor scrapes wont do a damn thing except scratch the bumper where you cant see it

even scrapes that sound REALLY bad dont do anything else but scrape underneath

i even HIT the rear bumper a couple of times on BAD driveways and it took it like a champ..(im talking about a REALLY bad hit i thought i cracked it but nothing happened)

the only reason i cracked my front bumper is becaiuse i got into an accident...you cant expect to do that and come out happy

the paint wont chip easily if the surface is prepped properly and the right amount of clearcoat is put on (but that has nothing to do with the bumper itself)

fixing my existing bumper would have cost just as much as getting a new bumper so i just bought the new one cause its better to have new than old

bumper was $400 shipped to NJ ...($299 not shipped)

the most important thing about fiberglass kits is getting them SMOOTH before painting..most kits wont be smooth enough to paint right out of the box...some body shops wont pay attention to this and after the parts are painted the paint will look wavey

expect to pay anywhere from 1300-1900

and to all the heros that like to intsall it themselves..make sure the body shop FITS the kit to the car before they paint...because "install" usually means fitting to the car...so if you plan to do your own install they might expect you to do the fitment too

oh...and most service places should have special lifts that are made for low cars

i just took mine to service and the lift just barely makes it under the sideskirts (on stock suspension)

if they need to lift your car with scissor jacks first they will charge you extra labor

im convinced that they scratched my sideskirt when lifting the car but then they kept showing me that the lift fit under without a problem...it did but i still know they scratched it ..made me mad

Damn, I only lifted my car once. It was a pain to do. But I do some work myself. I know for a fact, it can never go to the dealer.

But yes, I got my kit from Groupe-s. It was a test fit thing. I like it a lot, but I wish I had more time to drive my car.
