Default Problems with borla

For borla TD owner, did you guys have any problems with the exhaust? I heard that because there are over a dozen pieces, the exhaust had some problems and that the tips are very hard to align. Also, how does the borla change the sound of the Z? Does it still have that Z sound?

I did my install a couple of weeks ago along with high flow cats. A friend and I did it on jack stands in about 3 hours, it went very smooth. Just put everything together loose without tightening down the clamps, once everything is in place align it and tighten everything down. The sound still has the Z note to it it is just a little bit more aggresive.

Had mine installed 1 year ago with no problems. Had a pro install it.

Sounds like stock with deeper note and opens up about 4000 rpm where it is louder than stock.

love it....

What about at idle, is it a bit louder? I would like the z to be a bit louder at idle.

for all of you with it is it a good mod for the money? I noticed it is one of the least expensive, can you feel the difference in performance really?

It's not likely that you'll "feel" a 5 HP difference. Get it (or any other exhaust) for the sound and looks, not because it's going to make a couple of HP.

So how does the borla sound compare to the nismo exhaust at idle, cruising, and WOT.
